Manager Positive Charge
The Moreland Energy Foundation Ltd (MEFL) was established as an independent not-for profit organisation 17 years ago by Moreland City Council. Today, MEFL’s contribution – across residential, business and community sectors and policy development – is more critical than ever, given the need for action on climate change and the increasingly urgent transition to a sustainable energy future. Positive Charge is MEFL’s Social Enterprise, established to engage the community, achieve greenhouse gas emission reductions at scale and to deliver a return to MEFL. It’s an exciting time at MEFL; we are delivering some major programs and expanding Positive Charge outside of Victoria. By joining MEFL you will have the opportunity to work across all sectors, deliver meaningful impact outcomes and be part of an amazing team, offering you an opportunity to build your career in a transformative sector.
The Manager of Positive Charge will report to the Head of Delivery and be responsible for delivering on the goals and objectives of Positive Charge. This includes leading a small but highly effective team, overseeing business development and growth, managing diverse customer and stakeholder relationships and expectations and ensuring that Positive Charge continues to take a leadership role in the marketplace. The role will be active in the awareness of emerging technologies that may provide opportunities for Positive Charge to increase its service offerings to the market.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced project/program manager who is passionate about reducing the effects of climate change. To be considered you will have extensive program/project management experience, an action-orientation and a track record of successful project delivery. Your skills will include the ability to identify and convert market opportunities, engage and build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders and customers that will enhance the Positive Charge brand. With strong financial acumen and business case/planning and reporting skills, you’ll be a problem-solver, able to adapt to ambiguity and changing situations quickly as well as motivating and inspiring others into action. Highly motivated, you will be keen to actively contribute to the broader success of MEFL and the development of your team. Strong negotiation and leadership skills along with a commitment to outstanding service quality will ensure your success.
Candidates with a consulting or local government background and an understanding of and/or experience in the energy efficiency/renewables industry will be highly regarded.
