Positive Charge is a program of the Moreland Energy Foundation Ltd (MEFL), a not for profit organisation committed to accelerate the energy transition by empowering communities to take action. MEFL’s vision is for an equitable zero carbon society.
Positive Charge offers trustworthy, up-to-date, energy saving advice. We can also link members of the community with carefully selected suppliers; and access to high quality products and services from companies we can trust, that are value for money and meet Australian conditions and standards.
We are the only organisation of our kind.
Unlike other brokers, we only work with suppliers after conducting a thorough procurement process, so that we can be confident that we are offering high quality products and services at a great price from a company we can trust.
Whether people wish to obtain a quote from our suppliers or not, Positive Charge offers advice on a complete suite of energy efficiency and renewable energy measures.
We don’t work alone…
Positive Charge works extensively with local governments in Victoria and NSW to support council staff through their own sustainability journey, as well as providing a specialised advice service to local residents and businesses that council would otherwise have limited resources to deliver. Positive Charge utilises council channels in a strategic and streamlined way, to ensure that members of the community are reached in a way that is relevant to them.
Our suppliers are secured through a rigorous selection process, which meets our standards and those of our partner Councils. The procurement process provides due diligence on product quality, warranty length, cost and customer service.
The suppliers are chosen based on:
- Quality of product,
- Length of warranties,
- Financial sustainability, and
- Shared company values.
What’s in it for us?
At the heart of Positive Charge is action. We exist to support the community in transitioning to a zero carbon energy future.
We understand that some of the things holding people back from taking action is a lack of information, good quality advice and trust in the products and services available in the market. That is what we provide. In order to do that we derive income from a range of sources:
- Local Council support,
- Management fees from suppliers for sales on energy efficiency and renewable energy products and services
- Projects that we deliver on behalf of State and Federal Governments, and
- Services that we offer such as Home and Business Energy Assessments.
Why go through Positive Charge?
You can access an obligation-free quote from our suppliers, through Positive Charge and if you chose to purchase a product or service from our suppliers we receive a management fee. This management fee helps to cover our costs for the ongoing customer service, information and advice that we offer.
By going through our suppliers Positive Charge is in a good position to help you if any issues come up before, during or after installation or delivery. While our processes aim to drastically reduce the risk of problems arising, things still happen and we will always be there to help guide you through to resolution. We have a customer charter that clearly outlines our commitment to you.
While we have done our utmost to choose the best suppliers and products, we also encourage you to do your own due diligence, as you usually would when engaging a supplier. And of course come back to us with your questions – we love to help!
